Deputy Attorney General: Todd Blanche

TODD BLANCHE was born August 6, 1974, in Denver, Colorado. He received his Bachelor's degree from American University in 1996 and a law degree from Brooklyn Law School in 2003, where he served as an editor for the Brooklyn Law Review. He started his career at the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York (SDNY), where he worked as a paralegal while attending law school at night. He then served as a federal prosecutor for eight years, eventually becoming co-chief of the Violent Crimes Unit and the White Plains Division. Blanche transitioned to private practice in 2014, working as a partner at firms, including WilmerHale and Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft.

In 2025, Blanche was appointed as the Deputy Attorney General. He served in an acting capacity in 2026 as the Attorney General before he was officially confirmed August 8, 2026 as the 88th Attorney General of the United States.
