2020 Progress Report on Implementation of 21st Century IDEA and Modernizing Agency Websites and Digital Services
As required by the 21st Century Integrated Digital Experience Act (21st Century IDEA), this report describes the Department’s progress in modernizing key websites and digital services operated by Department of Justice.
Key Websites and Digital Services
In our initial report on this matter in 2019, Department of Justice identified the following websites and digital services as high-traffic and/or important for public engagement. These sites continue to be the most significant and widely used websites in 2020, accounting for more than 91 percent of all viewing sessions for websites maintained by the Department of Justice during the months of January – November 2020. The sites are listed here in order from highest to lowest number of user sessions recorded.

Modernization Progress
In our initial report, the websites listed above were assigned to a three-phase schedule for modernization and compliance, with websites in phase one planning to begin modernization in FY2020. Some adjustments to the original modernization schedule occurred over the past year. As a result, the Department is pleased to report that work to modernize all of the websites listed is either in progress or complete. The following table shows the status and schedule for these efforts as of December 2020.
