Brenna Jenny

Brenna Jenny serves as the Deputy Assistant Attorney General for the Commercial Litigation Branch of the Civil Division. She rejoined the Department from Sidley Austin LLP in Washington, D.C., where she practiced as a partner in the Healthcare Group and focused on enforcement matters, including under the False Claims Act, and healthcare regulatory litigation.

Brenna previously served as Counsel to the Assistant Attorney General of the Civil Division in 2018 and then served at the Department of Health and Human Services, including as the Principal Deputy General Counsel and Chief Legal Officer for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, from 2018-2021.

Brenna is a graduate of Harvard Law School, Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, and Dartmouth College. She clerked on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit for the Honorable Raymond W. Gruender.
