Drew Ensign

Drew Ensign serves as the Deputy Assistant Attorney General for the Office of Immigration Litigation of the Civil Division. Prior to joining the Department, he was a partner at Holtzman, Vogel, Baran, Torchinsky & Josefiak PLLC, specializing in administrative, appellate, and election law. He previously served as a Deputy Solicitor General and Chief Counsel for the Civil Appeals and Federalism Section at the Arizona Attorney General’s Office from 2017 through 2022. Earlier in his career, he practiced at Latham & Watkins LLP in Washington, D.C.

He is a graduate of New York University School of Law and Duke University. He clerked for Judge J. Clifford Wallace on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
