Meet Regional Director Vincent Plair
RD Plair joins CRS after decorated careers in law enforcement with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department (LASD) and in the military with the U.S. Marine Corps. He has also taught administration of justice courses as an adjunct professor at California State University, Dominguez Hills, and El Camino College.
“I’m personally excited to continue my career in public service, after serving in the military and law enforcement,” said RD Plair. “This is a unique opportunity for me to use my experience from a different perspective and make an impact on racial and equity issues in communities across these regions.”
At the LASD, RD Plair worked to establish after-school, mentoring, and civic engagement programs in communities across the county. Additionally, he worked on the implementation of a public safety camera project that decreased crime and increased public perception of law enforcement. He also served as a crisis negotiator, working with tactical teams during high-risk incidents. For 24 years, he served for as an infantry officer in the Marine Corps, both in active duty and reserve roles, retiring as a colonel.
RD Plair has a B.A. in business administration from the University of Houston, an M.A. in business from National University, and an Ed.D. in organizational leadership from Brandman University.
