This mangled metal fork, with “UNITED” stamped on the handle, was used to serve the passengers food aboard Flight 93. Along with other United Airlines items, it was found embedded and strewn across the approximately 40-acre crash site.

Locating pieces of wreckage that positively identified the aircraft as Flight 93 were crucial to investigators in the immediate aftermath of the crash. Prominently displayed on this piece of aluminum aircraft skin is the cockpit number “5491.”

These yellow work boots were worn by Special Agent Andrea Dammann during evidence recovery options. Responders discovered a crater full of pieces of wreckage, most of which were the size of a notepad or smaller.
