Daniel R. Vizzi

Daniel R. Vizzi was appointed by the U.S. Deputy Attorney General as the Acting Director of INTERPOL Washington, the United States National Central Bureau (USNCB). INTERPOL Washington serves as the official U.S. liaison to INTERPOL’s global network of 196 member countries. In this role, Mr. Vizzi oversees the agency’s global law enforcement coordination efforts, directing the operational and strategic use of INTERPOL tools and services.

Prior to his current role, Mr. Vizzi served as the USNCB’s Assistant Director for the Global Police Services Division, where he led the agency’s foreign fugitive and missing persons missions while overseeing the distribution of critical law enforcement information to both domestic and international partners.

A criminal investigator with the U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) with two decades of distinguished federal law enforcement service, Mr. Vizzi has held progressive leadership roles at the USMS, including Senior Inspector, Assistant Chief Inspector, Chief Inspector, and Acting Deputy Assistant Director. He has led countless domestic and international operations and served in key positions in the District of New Jersey, the Central District of California, the District Court for the District of Columbia, and USMS Headquarters. In each of these roles, he has managed high-profile operations, driven policy innovation, and led teams in achieving global mission-critical goals.

As Assistant Chief Inspector, he led the U.S. Cabinet protective detail for the Secretary of Education, coordinating more than 400 domestic and international official visits, managing a $25 million budget, and developing global operational policies. As Chief Inspector of the Office of Protective Operations, he oversaw a $45 million annual budget and directed the protection of 2,500 federal judges, 30,300 court officials and 800 USMS-protected facilities. Notably, he commanded the Supreme Court of the U.S. Protective Response, the largest protective response mission in USMS history, mobilizing nearly 1,000 USMS personnel across hundreds of sites.

Mr. Vizzi holds a Bachelor of Science degree from John Jay College of Criminal Justice. He is the recipient of numerous performance awards and commendations recognizing his leadership and impact in federal law enforcement, including a USMS Director’s Award and the Homeland Security Today Trailblazer Award.
