Statutes Found to Qualify under Exemption 3 of the FOIA

On December 9, 2009, the Office of Information Policy posted a chart listing the statutes that courts have found to qualify under Exemption 3 of the FOIA. A description of the material covered by each statute is included in the chart, as well as relevant case citations. The Exemption 3 chart is posted on OIP's home page and will be updated regularly.
