FOIA Update: Future FOIA Training

FOIA Update plans a regular column on "FOIA Training Opportunities." It will list seminars and other programs for lawyers, paralegals, and agency managers and supervisors, in the regions as well as in Washington. Most listings will be of programs arranged by OPM (Office of Personnel Management) or by the Legal Training Institute of the Justice Department. OILP is also interested in assisting any agency in organizing its own FOIA training programs, and may develop a kit of materials to help do this. In addition, OILP encourages FOIA training by bar associations and similar groups.
