Overview

On April 1, 2020, the United States filed a complaint in United States v. Whitescarver (W.D. Ky.).  The complaint alleges that Gordon Whitescarver and Betsy Whitescarver, the co-owners and managers of rental properties in Russellville, Kentucky, violated the Fair Housing Act by engaging in a pattern or practice of sexual harassment against female tenants and coercing, intimidating, threatening, or interfering with tenants in the exercise of their fair housing rights.
