Federal Firearm Rights Restoration Application Fee, Fee Waiver, and Fee Reduction

Application Fee

There is a non-refundable fee for processing Federal Firearm Rights Restoration applications. The fee is $30, and the Attorney General will periodically review the cost of processing applications and may adjust the application fee accordingly. When the application fee is changed, it will be published in the Federal Register.

After you have submitted your application, you will be redirected to Pay.gov to process your payment. 

Payments may be made by direct bank transfer from your bank account (ACH), by credit or debit card, or with PayPal.

Waiver/Reduction Requests

Applicants may request waiver or reduction of the application fee. When requesting waiver or reduction, the applicant must state the reason why a waiver or reduction should be granted.
