On March 30, in support of ICITAP’s Advancing Counterterrorism Initiatives and Operational Needs (ACTION) Program, a delegation from ICITAP and the U.S. Embassy Conakry Regional Security Office met with senior officials from Guinea’s Ministry of Security in Conakry to strengthen partner capacity against terrorism and transnational threats.

From March 23 to March 27, ICITAP delivered a Financial Investigative Techniques for Transnational Crime and Money Laundering training course in Budva, in partnership with U.S. Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Criminal Investigation specialists.

From March 9–18, ICITAP delivered specialized training and equipment handovers to Burkina Faso’s Direction de la Police Technique et Scientifique, marking the first ICITAP-led forensics engagement in the country and a significant step in strengthening national capacity to investigate terrorist incidents. 

From March 9–13, ICITAP conducted a “Workshop on Presenting Forensic DNA Evidence in Court Hearings” for criminal justice experts in Quintana Roo, Mexico, strengthening the ability of justice sector professionals to effectively present complex scientific evidence in legal proceedings.

From March 2-6, ICITAP conducted the second module of its five-part Counterterrorism Investigations and Hybrid Actors training program in Lima, Peru, designed to enhance partner-nation capabilities to identify, monitor, arrest, and prosecute proxy terrorists and cells.

From February 23–27, ICITAP delivered Internal Auditor Training for 21 Mexican forensic experts representing multiple states and forensic disciplines. The training supports ongoing efforts to strengthen forensic laboratory systems and promote adherence to internationally recognized standards for scientific quality, reliability, and accountability.

On February 19, the ICITAP-Montenegro Mission Advisor and the INL Senior Justice Advisor met with senior representatives of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) Mission to Montenegro, including the Deputy Head of Mission and leadership from the Security Cooperation and Governance Program, to review the OSCE’s 2026 Law Enforcement Assistance Report and Action Plan and align it with ICITAP’s operational priorities.
