Find recent Priority Placement Programs Plan (CTAP, ICTAP, RPL and PRL) information

This page provides the current status of CTAP activity by DOJ local commuting area.  Components should consult this information when determining whether CTAP requirements apply to a competitive service vacancy, as defined in 5 CFR 330.602.  The table is updated as CTAP activity changes.

If there is no CTAP activity in the local commuting area where the vacancy is located, the component may use the exception provided in 5 CFR 330.607(d), as documented by the DOJ CTAP Activity Notice, to fill the position.  A copy of the CTAP Activity Notice must be retained in the job case file.  The CTAP Activity Notice also serves as the Department's official notification when CTAP eligibility has been deactivated for a local commuting area.
