Scott Leverty

Scott Leverty is the Director of the Justice Management Division’s Budget Staff where he oversees the formulation, execution, and reporting of the Department’s approximate $40 billion annual budget supporting over 115,000 employees across all of the Department’s agencies, bureaus, and offices. Prior to his current role, Mr. Leverty was a Deputy Director and a Deputy Assistant Director within Budget Staff, where he was responsible for directly managing $2.0 billion in resources and developing the budgets of the Department’s law enforcement agencies. Prior to working at the Department, he was a Presidential Management Fellow, project manager, and budget officer at the Social Security Administration. Mr. Leverty graduated from William and Mary with degrees in public policy and economics and from the University of Maryland with a master’s degree in public policy.
