Dennis G. Feldt

Dennis G. Feldt was named Director, Library Staff in November 2010, after serving as the JMD Library Staff’s Assistant Director for Technical Services from 2007-2010. He manages a professional staff of 53 federal and contract law librarians, technical information specialists, and a historian who provide general and legal reference and information services; advanced legal research and investigative assistance to DOJ senior leadership offices, litigating divisions, U.S. Attorneys’ Offices, and other DOJ law enforcement components. From 2001-2007, Mr. Feldt worked for the Federal Judiciary as the Web Administrator at the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts where he provided programmatic and technical web services directing eight web developers and programmers. He managed the development, testing, implementation, and maintenance of the primary Federal Judiciary Internet (www.uscourts.gov) and Intranet web sites. Mr. Feldt began his federal career as a Financial Management Intern at the U.S. Department of Navy, Comptroller of the Navy – Pentagon (1990-1992). As a Budget Analyst at the Naval Air Systems Command Headquarters – Arlington (1992-1996) he managed the budgets and funding execution for several Navy and Marine Corps aircraft and weapons programs in research, development, test, and evaluation. Mr. Feldt received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Economics from Saint Louis University (1988); Masters in Library and Information Science from The Catholic University of America (1997); and completed web and information technology coursework at The George Washington University (1994-2002).
