* Due to an accounting error last year, this number is one less than the number reported in the FY 2002 FOIA Annual Report.

** In the FY 2002 report, the number of requests pending as of the end of FY 02 was incorrectly reported as 701. This error was the result of past reliance on a faulty report from the BOP database. BOP's new database report, however, accurately tracked the number of pending requests as noted above.

*** In the FY 2002 report, the number of requests pending as of the end of FY 2002 was incorrectly reported as a smaller number due to a faulty accounting procedure that has now been corrected.
