Sean Glendening
Sean Glendening was appointed as the Director of the Office of Information Policy on November 3, 2025. Prior to his appointment as Director, Sean served as Chief Counsel to Congressman Mike Lawler representing the lower Hudson Valley in New York’s Seventeenth Congressional District. Sean is also a Judge Advocate in the U.S. Army Reserve JAG Corps. His military service includes a deployment to Iraq with the Army’s XVIII Airborne Corps and an assignment to the legal staff at the United States Military Academy at West Point. In the private sector, Sean was the General Counsel for an AI-driven technology company in the energy industry. He previously practiced as an associate at a boutique New York law firm and as an Excelsior Fellow with the New York State Governor’s Office.
Sean graduated magna cum laude from Albany Law School, where he was a member of the Albany Government Law Review, and earned his B.A. from Lehigh University.
