Federal Inmate Charged With Possession Of A Weapon

WILLIAMSPORT - The United States Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania announced that Antoine Tucker, age 22, originally from Washington D.C., was indicted on March 4, 2025, by a federal grand jury on a charge of possession of a weapon by a federal inmate.
According to Acting United States Attorney John C. Gurganus, the indictment alleges that on August 17, 2024, Tucker possessed a weapon, an approximate 5-inch piece of plastic sharpened to a point with a cloth handle, commonly known as a “shank” while an inmate at the Federal Correctional Institute at Allenwood, Union County, Pennsylvania.
The case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigations and the Bureau of Prisons. Assistant U.S. Attorney Jenny P. Roberts is prosecuting the case.
The maximum penalty under federal law for this offense is 5 years of imprisonment, a term of supervised release following imprisonment, and a fine. A sentence following a finding of guilt is imposed by the Judge after consideration of the applicable federal sentencing statutes and the Federal Sentencing Guidelines.
Indictments are only allegations. All persons charged are presumed to be innocent unless and until found guilty in court.
