Harrisburg Man Indicted For Drug Trafficking And Firearms Possession

HARRISBURG - The United States Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania announced Kyree Ross, 30, of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, was indicted by a federal grand jury with possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine; possession of a firearm in furtherance of drug trafficking; possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number; and two counts of possession of firearms by a felon. 

According to Acting United States Attorney John C. Gurganus, the indictment alleges that on April 20, 2022, Ross possessed a firearm with an obliterated serial number.  The indictment also alleges that on November 30, 2024, Ross possessed with the intent to distribute 28 grams of crack cocaine and possessed a firearm in furtherance of drug trafficking.  The indictment further alleges that Ross possessed a firearm and ammunition as a convicted felon. 

The case was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, the Harrisburg Bureau of Police, and the Pennsylvania State Police.  Assistant U.S. Attorney Scott Ford is prosecuting the case.

This case is part of Operation Take Back America (https://www.justice.gov/dag/media/1393746/dl?inline) a nationwide initiative that marshals the full resources of the Department of Justice to repel the invasion of illegal immigration, achieve the total elimination of cartels and transnational criminal organizations (TCOs), and protect our communities from the perpetrators of violent crime. Operation Take Back America streamlines efforts and resources from the Department’s Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces (OCDETFs) and Project Safe Neighborhood (PSN).

Ross faces a maximum penalty of life imprisonment, a term of supervised release following imprisonment, and a fine.  A sentence following a finding of guilt is imposed by the Judge after consideration of the applicable federal sentencing statutes and the Federal Sentencing Guidelines.

Indictments and Criminal Informations are only allegations. All persons charged are presumed to be innocent unless and until found guilty in court.
