Grand Jury Returns Indictments

MINNEAPOLIS—A federal grand jury in the District of Minnesota, sitting in Minneapolis, returned the following indictments yesterday. You are advised that a charge is merely an accusation, and that a defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty. Any sentence is determined by a federal district judge.

Crystal man charged with robbing Roseville bank

Jake Charles Cogswell, age 30, of Crystal, was charged with one count of armed bank robbery and one count of brandishing a firearm in furtherance of a crime of violence. If convicted, Cogswell faces a potential maximum 25 years in prison on the bank robbery count. In addition, he faces a mandatory consecutive seven years on the brandishing a firearm count. This case is the result of an investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Roseville Police Department. It is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Nathan P. Petterson.
