Tallahassee, Florida – Lamar Bunch, 35, of Tallahassee, Florida, pleaded guilty in federal court to possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. 

Pensacola, Florida – Thomas Christopher Morton, 47, and Laurie Ann Chapman, 54, both of Pensacola, Florida, were each sentenced to five years in federal prison. Morton was convicted of one count of conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute more than 40 grams of fentanyl, one count of possession with intent to distribute more than 40 grams of fentanyl, and three counts of distribution of fentanyl. Tallahassee, Florida – Stephen Miles Bishop, 30, of Panama City, Florida, has been indicted in federal court on two counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and one count of possession of a short-barreled rifle.

Tallahassee, Florida – Chandler Brittain Smith, 27, of Tallahassee, Florida, pleaded guilty in federal court to one count of distribution of attempted enticement of a minor and one count of attempted transfer of obscene material to minors.

Pensacola and Tallahassee – Today, United States Attorney John P. Heekin announced that 16 illegal aliens were convicted of federal immigration crimes in the month of June.

Gainesville, Florida – Eddie Jerome Scott, 38, of Gainesville, Florida, pleaded guilty in federal court to distribution of methamphetamine; possession with intent to distribute over 50 grams of methamphetamine, cocaine, and fentanyl; carrying a firearm during a drug trafficking crime; and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Tallahassee, Florida – Nicholas Michael Freeman, 48, of Perry, Florida, pleaded guilty in federal court to possession of cocaine, crack cocaine, and 5 grams or more of methamphetamine with intent to distribute. 

Pensacola, Florida – Clarence Penny, 40, of Pace, Florida, pleaded guilty to eight counts of bank fraud, one count of embezzlement of labor union funds, and three counts of falsification of labor union reports. 

Pensacola, Florida – Gregory E. Simonds Jr., 43, of Pensacola, Florida, was sentenced to seven years in federal prison for arson by means of an explosive causing personal injury. 

Pensacola, Florida – Evan Aldric Harris, 30, of Evergreen, Alabama, pleaded guilty to theft of mail by a postal employee.
