Lewis County man sentenced for role in a methamphetamine distribution operation in Monongalia County

CLARKSBURG, WEST VIRGINIA – Douglas Charles Knicely, of Jane Lew, West Virginia, was sentenced today to 120 months incarceration for his involvement in a methamphetamine distribution operation, United States Attorney Bill Powell announced.
 
Knicely, age 37, pled guilty to one count of “Conspiracy to Possess with the Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine” in March 2019. Knicely admitted to participating in a drug distribution operation in October 2018 in Monongalia County. 

Assistant U.S. Attorney Zelda E. Wesley prosecuted the case on behalf of the government. The Mon Metro Drug & Violent Crimes Task Force, a HIDTA-funded initiative, and the Morgantown Police Department investigated. 

U.S. District Judge Thomas S. Kleeh presided.
