Opioid Addiction and Prevention

OPIOID ADDICTION
A public health crisis

The opioid overdose epidemic– to this day - wreaks devastation on all of our communities, across every demographic.  There is no neighborhood, no level of income, no professional or educational background that this does not touch. The Justice Department and the U.S. Attorney community remain committed to addressing the impact of opioid addiction not only through targeted enforcement, but through outreach, education, and supporting community partners and public health providers.  We remain equally committed to enforcement of federal civil rights laws that ensure that individuals grappling with addiction are protected from discrimination.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        United States Attorney Zachary A.
