AGENCIES THAT PROCESS DISABILITY RIGHTS COMPLAINTS

Several different federal, state, and local entities have roles in enforcing disability rights in South Carolina. Here is a non-exhaustive list.

Some civil rights statutes require you to complain first to an agency; other statutes do not. Do not assume that because you have contacted an agency that you have commenced a legal proceeding, or a lawsuit, or that you are timely acting within an applicable statute of limitations.
