Arthur Gene Young, a multi-convicted felon with a history of violence, has been sentenced to federal prison for unlawfully possessing a firearm while resisting police officers in a small west Georgia city.

Seven defendants have been sentenced for their roles in distributing fentanyl, methamphetamine, and other deadly drugs within and outside the metro-Atlanta area. Karla Lopez-Delgado, the ringleader, was also convicted of possessing methamphetamine with intent to distribute on a premises where a minor resided.

ATLANTA - Alexander Arellano has been sentenced to federal prison for distributing large amounts of fentanyl in the Atlanta area while possessing firearms.

Siblings Johnny Hurtado Olascoaga, also known as “El Pez,” “Pescado,” and “Mojarra,” 52, and Jose Alfredo Hurtado Olascoaga, also known as “El Fresa,” “El Feyo,” and “La Fruta,” 41, both of Guerrero, Mexico, and co-leaders of the La Nueva Familia Michoacana (LNFM) drug cartel, were charged by a federal grand jury seated in the Northern District of Georgia with conspiracy to manufacture and distribute heroin, cocaine, methamphetamine, and fentanyl knowing those controlled substances would be imported into the United States, conspiracy to import those controlled substances into the United States

ATLANTA - Antwuan Brown, 39, of Alpharetta, Ga., made an initial appearance earlier today before United States Magistrate Judge Linda T. Walker on a Criminal Complaint, charging him with possession with the intent to distribute fentanyl.  Brown allegedly possessed for distribution approximately 240,000 fentanyl pills and 4.5 kilograms of fentanyl powder, making this the largest seizure of fentanyl in the district’s history.

Joshua Timothy Rex has pleaded guilty to possession of two firearms by a convicted felon after law enforcement officers intercepted him on his way to confront a student on the campus of Reinhardt University.
