EOUSA Director Stephanie M. Hinds

Stephanie M. Hinds was appointed Director of the Executive Office for United States Attorneys (EOUSA) in October 2024. Ms. Hinds brings nearly 30 years of experience within the Department of Justice, including an extensive career in the United States Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of California. Her roles there have included Assistant United States Attorney, Asset Forfeiture Chief, Deputy Criminal Chief, First Assistant United States Attorney, and Deputy United States Attorney. She served as the acting United States Attorney for the Northern District of California from 2021 to 2023.

In May 2023, Ms. Hinds was appointed as an Associate Deputy Attorney General in the Office of the Deputy Attorney General in Washington, D.C. There, she served as the Deputy Attorney General's liaison to the United States Attorney community, supporting all 94 offices across the country through EOUSA.

Throughout her career, Ms. Hinds has demonstrated a commitment to public service and a dedication to enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of the Department of Justice.

Ms. Hinds is a graduate of University of California, College of Law and UC Berkeley.
