Bangladesh: ICITAP Commended as Leading Force for Law Enforcement Capacity Building

On November 29, ICITAP concluded Instructor Development Courses (IDC) for the instructors of the Detective Training School (DTS) in Dhaka. With the support of the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL), ICITAP delivered the two-week course, from which a total of 15 officers (seven women) graduated. Three host-country instructors, who had previously graduated from ICITAP’s IDC course, co-delivered the course with an ICITAP instructor. The Commandant of the Detective Training School was effusive in his thanks to ICITAP for being the main international partner of the Bangladesh Police in providing assistance since 2010 and assisting to build local resources.
