Montenegro: ICITAP Supports Specialized Police Training Across the Balkans

ICITAP concluded its participation at the three-day 2018 Annual Regional Conference on Specialized Police Training in Budva, Montenegro with attendees from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro, and Serbia. The event focused on planning the needs for specialized training of police officers and measuring the effects of implemented trainings of police officers. Each participating country delivered a presentation on current policing topics and issues relevant to their respective departments. The event provided an opportunity to network and to continue the building of regional ties and law enforcement cooperation among the Balkan countries participating. ICITAP headquarters joined ICITAP program managers from Albania, Bosnia, Kosovo, and Serbia to help contribute to this important regional event, which was supported by the Department of State’s Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) and the U.S. Embassy in Podgorica.
