Other Advocacy and Assistance
- November 26, 2008 Mumbai coordinated attacks.
- OVT created a password protected website for U.S victims of the coordinated attacks to stay updated on current Indian court proceedings that are ongoing.
- In the only U.S. prosecution based on the Mumbai attack of November 2008, OVT used its password protected website to notify U.S victims that an American, David Headley, had been indicted for his role in planning that crime.
- OVT organized and hosted a Victims of Terrorism Abroad Task Force debriefing with other government agencies addressing the response to the victims of the November 2008 Mumbai attack. The information developed during that meeting has been used to inform policy and training for U.S. government personnel working with victims of international terrorism.
