Reducing Risk During Public Events
Reducing Risk During Public Events: Contingency Planning is a three-hour, in-person training that provides best practices and tools to help law enforcement, government officials, event organizers, and community volunteers plan safe demonstrations, rallies, or other public events. The training offers an opportunity for organizers to begin developing an event plan that addresses potential issues that impact public safety during stages of the event. Participants leave with the start of a contingency plan which they can continue to develop within their organizations before the event.
