Drayton v. MacIntosh County Georgia

On April 21, 2016, the Department filed a statement of interest (SOI) in Drayton v. MacIntosh County, Ga, 2:16-cv-00053 (S.D. Ga.). The Department's SOI addressed the application of the Fair Housing Act (FHA), 42 U.S.C. § 3601 et seq., to

state actors and to discriminatory conduct that occurs after the initial acquisition of housing, and the application of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (Title VI) to programs or activities that receive federal financial assistance. 42 U.S.C. § 2000d.
