Overview

On March 24, 2015, the Department sent the Hawai'i Judiciary a letter agreement that concluded a formal engagement under Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (Title VI) to address complaints regarding the provision of language assistance services in state court proceedings and operations. The Department closed this Title VI review based on the improvements the Hawai'i Judiciary had made since the fall of 2013.
