Methelus v. School Board of Collier County Florida

On September 26, 2016, the Department filed a statement of interest (SOI) in Methelus v. School Board of Collier County, FL, 16-cv-00379 (M.D. Fl.). The Department's SOI set forth the legal standards applicable to a claim under Section 1703(f) of the Equal Educational Opportunities Act (EEOA) and to clarify the standard for intentional discrimination claims under Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (Title VI).
