The U.S. Attorney's Office, Northern District of Ohio is involved in a number of programs and projects in our community. Some of our major efforts are listed below.

Cleveland Police ReformA wide-ranging agreement between the United States Department of Justice and the City of Cleveland to create reforms and changes within the Cleveland Division of Police (CDP).
Community OutreachThe U.S. Attorney’s office takes every available opportunity to communicate with residents in order to hear their concerns and priorities in the Northern District of Ohio.
Defending ChildrenThe United States Attorney's Office for the Northern District of Ohio is committed to the safety and well-being of every child and has placed a high priority on combating sexual exploitation of minors.
Elder Justice InitiativeThe United States Attorney's Office and Department of Justice are committed to Combatting elder abuse, neglect, financial fraud, and scams that target our nation's seniors. Elder fraud schemes take a variety of forms that range from small-scale identity thefts involving impersonation of a senior to mass mailing fraud schemes that steal from thousands of elderly victims. These schemes defraud America's seniors out of billions of dollars annually.
Heroin and Opioid Task ForceThe opioid crisis is the deadliest drug crisis in American history.  Find facts, resources, and news about what the Northern District of Ohio is doing to combat the opioid crisis.
Human and Civil RightsEnsuring that all people are treated fairly and enjoy equal protection under the law is a top priority in the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
Law Enforcement InitiativesThe U.S. Attorney's Office is responsible for coordinating a comprehensive law enforcement and crime prevention strategy for Northern Ohio.
Project Safe NeighborhoodsA nationwide initiative that brings together federal, state, and local law enforcement officials, prosecutors, and community leaders to identify the most pressing violent crime problems in a community and develop comprehensive solutions to address them.
Victim Witness AssistanceVictims of crime may experience feelings of confusion, frustration, fear and anger. The Victim/Witness Unit is dedicated to making sure that victims of federal crimes and their family members are treated with compassion, fairness and respect.
