Defendant Pleads Guilty To Possessing Stolen Firearms

MUSKOGEE, OKLAHOMA – The United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma announced that Naman Wes Hamilton, age 19, entered a guilty plea to one count of Possession of a Stolen Firearm, punishable by up to 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.

The Indictment alleged that on or about August 23, 2025, Hamilton knowingly possessed a stolen firearm, to wit, one 12 gauge shotgun, one .40 caliber pistol, one .223 caliber rifle, and one 38 caliber pistol, shipped and transported in interstate commerce, knowing and having reasonable cause to believe the firearms were stolen.

The charge arose from an investigation by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, and the Ada Police Department.

The Honorable D. Edward Snow, Magistrate Judge in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma, accepted the plea and ordered the completion of a presentence investigation report.

A U.S. District Court Judge will determine the sentence to be imposed after considering the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and other statutory factors.

Hamilton will remain in the custody of the United States Marshals Service pending sentencing.
