The Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU) pursuant to Public Law 95-507, is tasked with fostering the use of small businesses as Federal contractors. To accomplish this task, the OSDBU develops and implements appropriate outreach programs aimed at heightening the awareness of the small business community to the contracting opportunities available within the Department. Outreach efforts include activities such as sponsoring small business fairs and procurement conferences as well as participating in trade group seminars, conventions, and other forums that promote the utilization of small business as contractors.

DOJ Vendor Outreach

The Department of Justice, Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization hosts Vendor Outreach Sessions. These sessions allow small businesses an opportunity to meet the Department's various Small Business Specialists to discuss procurement opportunities and doing business with the government.

Registration: The sessions are held on the 3rd Tuesday of each month unless otherwise specified. Appointments are made on a first come first served basis. Scheduling begins at 12:00 noon EST/EDT on the first work day of each month. To schedule an appointment, contact the OSDBU staff on (202) 616-0521. For small businesses outside of the Washington, DC metropolitan area, please call 1-800-345-3712.

Small business representatives are welcomed to schedule up to four 15-minute appointments with Small Business Specialists from the following Department of Justice bureaus:

  • Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives
  • Bureau of Prisons
  • Drug Enforcement Administration
  • Federal Bureau of Investigation
  • Federal Prison Industries
  • Justice Management Division
  • Office of Inspector General
  • Office of Justice Programs
  • United States Marshal Service

Travel Information

Department of Justice, Justice Management Division, is located across from the New York Ave-Florida Ave-Gallaudet Metro Station on the Red Line at the Florida Ave. & 2nd St. exit.

Parking lots/garages are located in the immediate area.
