Bangor Man Charged With Enticement Of A Minor And Related Charges

Matthew Simineri, age 21 of Bangor, Pennsylvania, was charged today by Indictment¹ with one count of Enticement of a Minor to Engage in Illicit Sexual Conduct, four counts of Manufacturing Child Pornography, four counts of Receipt of Child Pornography, and one count of Transfer of Obscene Material to a Minor, announced United States Attorney Zane David Memeger. The charges arose out of the defendant’s online communications with a 9-year old autistic girl. 

If convicted the defendant faces a maximum possible sentence of life imprisonment with a 15-year minimum mandatory term of incarceration, a $2,000,000 fine, 5 years up to a lifetime of supervised release, and a $2,000 special assessment. 

The case was investigated by the Spokane County Sheriff’s Department in Washington, the Berks County District Attorney’s Office in Pennsylvania, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Michelle Rotella.
