Program Description — This is an uncompensated college student internship for summer 2017. The program will last 10 weeks, from May 30, 2017, through August 4, 2017. Assignments primarily involve administrative and clerical tasks designed to assist attorneys and legal support staff with managing and preparing criminal cases. Interns may attend court proceedings as spectators and will have an opportunity to attend multiple in-house lectures on the process of investigating and prosecuting criminal cases. The internship will be located at 2100 Jamieson Avenue, Alexandria, Virginia 22314, near the King Street and Eisenhower Metro Stations (blue and yellow lines). Living accommodations and parking will not be provided. Applicants should contact their universities about receiving class credit or a public interest stipend.

Prior to hiring, selected applicants must successfully complete a background review.

Application Materials — Please submit a cover letter, resume, and undergraduate transcript in a single combined PDF attachment using the file format LastnameFirstname (e.g., SmithJane.pdf). Additional materials may be requested during interviews, which will be conducted on a rolling basis.
