Michigan Man Sentenced to 10 Years in Federal Prison for Possessing a Distribution Quantity of Methamphetamine

DAVENPORT, Iowa – A Saginaw, Michigan man was sentenced today to 10 years in federal prison for possessing a distribution quantity of methamphetamine.

According to public court documents, on three occasions in 2023 and 2024, Xavier Juwaun Williams, 24, sold or attempted to sell a total of more than 800 grams of methamphetamine. Williams transported the methamphetamine from Michigan to Burlington for distribution.

After completing his term of imprisonment, Williams will be required to serve a five-year term of supervised release. There is no parole in the federal system.

United States Attorney Richard D. Westphal of the Southern District of Iowa made the announcement. This case was investigated by the Southeast Iowa Narcotics Task Force and the Iowa Division of Narcotics Enforcement.
