Bangladesh: ICITAP Joins Embassy to Support Counter Trafficking in Persons Efforts

On April 1, ICITAP, along with U.S. embassy officials, met with Barisal panel advocates and prosecutors to discuss the Trafficking in Persons (TIP) tribunal located within the city.  It was found that the judicial representatives regularly worked with their law enforcement partners to further TIP cases.  This was the result of a proactive judge and a CD partnership with the Superintendent of Police.  ICITAP plans to follow up with more training and use this as an example for the Government of Bangladesh.
