ICITAP Brings Law Enforcement Leadership Together at the International Association of Chiefs of Police Conference in Chicago

On October 29, ICITAP completed its participation at the 126th Annual Conference of the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP), which is the world’s oldest and largest non-profit membership organization of police executives, with over 20,000 law enforcement professions from 100 countries around the world. This year, with the support of and coordination with the U.S. Department of State, ICITAP sponsored 75 delegates from 13 partner countries: Albania, Bangladesh, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Dominican Republic, Indonesia, Kosovo, Mali, Montenegro, Nepal, North Macedonia, Panama, Philippines, and Serbia. ICITAP’s delegation participated in numerous education sessions, which focused on officer safety, terrorist threats, counter-narcotics operations, curriculum and training solutions, technology, and other critical law enforcement lanes. ICITAP participated in the International Managers of Police Academy and College Training (IMPACT) section meeting, organized meetings with field personnel, engaged the media on assistance to the Western Balkans, and held numerous planning and strategy meetings with other federal and local law enforcement agencies. DOJ’s Office of Public Affairs tweeted about ICITAP’s participation at IACP in Chicago: https://mobile.twitter.com/TheJusticeDept/status/1189150443735339010
