ICITAP Delivers Webinar Titled “Shift to E-Learning”

On August 26, ICITAP facilitated a webinar titled “Shift to E-Learning.” With the participation of such interagency partners as OPDAT, DEA, FBI, FLETC, and others, ICITAP’s Virtual Engagement Task Force saddled up with the State Department’s Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) and the International Law Enforcement Academy in Gaborone to deliver an informative webinar on the challenges and opportunities of pivoting to e-learning. The ILEA-Gaborone Director discussed his experiences with change management in the transition to virtual learning and an overview of blended approaches to virtual training, offering both self-study and instructor-led components. The webinar was a stepping stone for ICITAP’s commitment to providing relief to our host-country nations in the face of our global pandemic. During times of war and crisis, individuals and communities often rise and overcome thanks to innovative approaches and technological solutions. The silver lining about this pandemic will be that we will emerge as a 21st-century e-training foreign assistance provider.
