Kosovo: ICITAP Attaché Addresses New Generation of Law Enforcement

On March 4, the General Director of Kosovo Academy for Public Safety (KAPS) hosted the visit of the General Director of Kosovo Police (KP), the General Director of the Kosovo Correctional Service (KCS), and ICITAP-Kosovo’s Attaché. The senior officials attended the morning parade of the new 420 KP cadets and 120 KCS cadets, undergoing their professional basic training at KAPS. Cadets were greeted by ICITAP’s Attaché, who extended ICITAP’s continued support for KAPS in their public safety professional development efforts. The parade was followed with a meeting to discuss any challenges KAPS faces in supporting the largest number of cadets of diverse law enforcement institutions at one time. In Kosovo, ICITAP partners with the State Department’s Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) and the Bureau of Counterterrorism and Countering Violent Extremism (CT).
