On April 13, the U.S. Embassy Pristina requested ICITAP’s assistance in obtaining a map of Pristina city limits following the declaration of quarantine for the capital city. ICITAP’s IT Specialist immediately began configuring an online Geographic Information System (GIS) and map. With the success of that map's development, ICITAP created another GIS and map that depicted the number of COVID-19 cases in each Kosovo municipality. That map is updated daily when the Kosovo National Institute for Public Health of Kosovo publishes the statistics, usually in the evening. The GIS system denotes positive cases for each of the municipalities; distinction for municipalities under quarantine; area under 24-hour quarantine, and; OpenStreetMap and Google satellite map layers. The U.S. embassy leadership expressed its appreciation to ICITAP for the assistance in the creation of a Pristina-specific map, which can be found here: https://icitap-ks.org/covid19
