On September 30, ICITAP-Ukraine concluded a ten-day training summit with the Patrol Police Crowd Control Units. Training started with a two-day introduction of incident command principles with Patrol Police chiefs and deputy chiefs from across Ukraine’s major cities. The third and fourth days introduced the same concepts to unit commanders. Days five through nine consisted of practical exercises with 367 Patrol Police Chiefs, deputy chiefs, commanders, and frontline Crowd Control personnel. The ninth day concluded with a comprehensive simulated event. The 10-day summit concluded with a debrief session for commanders and ICITAP staff followed by an overview of incident management systems to executives of the National Police of Ukraine. This event was delivered with the support of and in coordination with the State Department’s Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL).
