On November 6, ICITAP joined senior leadership from the National Police of Ukraine in presenting on Law Enforcement Reform in Ukraine at the 28th Annual Problem-Oriented Policing (POP) Conference in Providence, Rhode Island. The 75-minute session focused on past reform and introduced the new ICITAP-supported Model Police Station project to reorganize and reform the procedure in the investigation and district officer units across Ukraine. The audience included police agencies from a dozen countries. ICITAP sponsored the participation of six officers from the National Police of Ukraine’s Model Police Station to attend the POP Conference. ICITAP’s partnership with the National Police of Ukraine to develop a problem-oriented policing involves “the identification and analysis of specific crime and disorder problems, in order to develop effective response strategies.”
