Dennis and Judy Shepard, parents of Matthew Shepard and founders and board members of the Matthew Shepard Foundation, and Louvon Byrd Harris, sister of James Byrd Jr. and President of the Byrd Foundation for Racial Healing, sit down in conversation with Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights Kristen Clarke to commemorate the anniversary of the passage of the Shepard-Byrd Hate Crimes Prevention Act.  Assistant Attorney General Clarke then speaks with FBI Deputy Assistant Director Jay Greenberg about hate crimes and hate incidents across the nation, and the FBI’s efforts to investigate hate.
