UPDATE – On October 24, 2019, defendants Matthew Connolly and Gavin Campbell Black were sentenced by the court. Defendant Connolly was sentenced to time served and two years of supervised release with a special condition of six months of home confinement. In addition, Connolly was ordered to pay a $100,000 fine and an assessment of $300. Defendant Black was sentenced to time served and three years of supervised release with a special condition of nine months of home confinement. In addition, Black was ordered to pay a $300,000 fine and an assessment of $200.
Defendant Connolly’s and Black’s sentences have been suspended pending appeal. The appeals are pending before the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
