A. Tysen Duva

Andrew Tysen Duva has served as the Assistant Attorney General of the Criminal Division since December 2025. In this capacity, Mr. Duva supervises the Division’s more than 1,100 federal prosecutors and staff members who conduct investigations and prosecutions involving organized and transnational crime, violent crime, cybercrime, public corruption, money laundering, securities fraud, health care fraud, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act violations, Bank Secrecy Act and sanctions offenses, child exploitation, international narcotics trafficking, human rights violations, intellectual property theft, and other crimes, as well as matters involving international affairs and sensitive law enforcement techniques. 

Before joining the Division, Mr. Duva served for nearly two decades as an Assistant United States Attorney for the Middle District of Florida. He also worked for a large international law firm working for their North Florida Litigation Group focusing on commercial litigation. Mr. Duva also served as a judicial law clerk to a United States District Judge in the Middle District of Florida, Jacksonville Division.

As an Assistant United States Attorney, Mr. Duva focused his practice on drug, money laundering, violent crime, healthcare and procurement fraud schemes, public corruption, computer crime and intellectual property prosecutions, and various special prosecutions. Mr. Duva twice served as a Senior Litigation Counsel for the Middle District of Florida. He received multiple awards, including: the 2024 FBI Director’s Recognition of Excellence in public corruption, the 2019 United States Attorney’s Office, Middle District of Florida Outstanding Economic Crime investigation for a fraud/public corruption case, the 2018 IRS Excellence Award recognizing exceptional work in tax and financial investigations and cases, the 2015 United States Secret Service Award for recognition in a counterfeit currency case, and the 2012 Department of Homeland Security (ICE) Executive Director’s Award for outstanding contraband smuggling case.

Mr. Duva is a graduate of the University of North Florida with a B.A. in Political Science and the University of Florida Levin College of Law.
