Training on Worker Rights: If You Have the Right to Work, Don’t Let Anyone Take It Away
This worker training explains protections against prohibited discrimination under the Immigration and Nationality Act’s anti-discrimination provision. This law protects workers who have permission to work in the United States from certain types of employment discrimination based on their citizenship, immigration status, or national origin. This law also prohibits retaliation and intimidation.
This law is found at 8 U.S.C. § 1324b. Call the Civil Rights Division’s Immigrant and Employee Rights Section at 1-800-255-7688 to learn how we protect workers from unlawful immigration-related employment discrimination. Those with hearing disabilities can reach the Immigrant and Employee Rights Section at 1-800-237-2515.
